Let's go Dance Under the Street Lights

_{Marching band. Is. Over.

Symphonic band. Is. Not.

Blahhhh. C-star mouth pieces, Rovner ligatures, and Rigaldi Gold reeds. Or at least that's how I think Rigaldi is spelled.

Blahhhh. Clash, Sussex Mummer Christmas Carol, The Ascension, Sleigh Ride, and Hallelujah Chorus.

Blahhhh. I'm only second chair. Again. Out of five alto saxes. A sophomore beat me. But it's okay, because he's like, a musical prodigy. And he takes lessons. I pretty much sight read my entire audition. No lie. We had to play part of The Ascension for our chair audition, and I didn't even look at the measures that my band director had me play for the audition. So it totally could have been worse. It was quite humorous watching and listening to the freshmen practice for chair auditions. Bless their hearts...they just have no idea what to do when they come across dotted eighth-sixteenths...or chromatic runs. Mmm. Chromatic runs.

And on a not band-related note [pun totally intended]... There shall be plenty of crap...pictures over-flowing your in-boxes soon. I'm going on a photography adventure this weekend, and I roped a couple of my friends into helping me with the One Hundred Themes Challenge. It's going to be awesome.
